My friend Katharine (and neighbor) posted this on her blog and I stole it. It's from Jacob's 3 1/2 yr. birthday party (his bday is Jan. 1 so they celebrate in the summer) on Monday.
Hmmm, I've thought about doing this with Sophie. What did you think? I'm concerned that every year on Sophie's birthday, the adults will be exhausted from staying up to see the New Year in, so maybe we'll start doing the half birthday thing, too.
